ISC offers two pathways to graduation: Diploma Programme (DP) and High School Diploma

International School Carinthia is an authorized school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme and is now a fully-authorized, ‘Continuum’ IB World School.

*Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

ISC High School Diploma

ISC is proud to announce the launch of our High School Diploma! Starting from the 2020-2021 school year, International School Carinthia will offer an additional, parallel program to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in the form of a High School Diploma. The International School Carinthia High School Diploma will be recognized worldwide.

Through ISC’s authorization to run the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, its recognized status as a Statutenschule by the Austrian Ministry of Education, its accreditation by the Bildungsdirektion Kärnten, and its authority to provide transcripts, International School Carinthia can work with students and their parents to develop an academic program especially suited to students’ diverse needs. The International School Carinthia High School Diploma is a milestone in our school’s commitment to inclusive and flexible programming.
